How to maintain an air compressor

First, daily maintenance
Daily inspection
Check whether the operating pressure of the air compressor is normal and stable, and observe the pressure display on the control panel to ensure that it is within the specified working pressure range.
Pay attention to the sound of the air compressor when it is in operation. If there is abnormal noise or vibration, it should be stopped immediately for inspection, which may be caused by loose parts, wear or other faults.
Check the oil level. For air compressors that need lubricating oil, ensure that the oil level is within the normal range. Too low an oil level will affect the lubrication effect of the equipment and increase the risk of wear.
Cleaning work
Keep the surface of the air compressor clean, and wipe the fuselage regularly to prevent dust and debris accumulation, affecting heat dissipation and the appearance of the equipment.
Clean the air filter, the role of the air filter is to filter the air into the air compressor to prevent impurities from entering the compression system. According to the different use of the environment, regularly remove the filter for cleaning or replacement, to ensure the air filtration effect. In general, when the filter surface becomes significantly dirty or the pressure loss increases, it needs to be cleaned or replaced.
Second, regular maintenance
Lubricating oil management
Replace the lubricating oil regularly according to the equipment instruction manual. The lubricating oil plays the role of lubrication, cooling and sealing in the operation of the air compressor. With the extension of the use time, the lubricating oil will gradually deteriorate and reduce its performance. In general, it is replaced every certain time of operation (such as 2000 hours) or according to the results of oil analysis.
When replacing the lubricating oil, replace the oil filter at the same time to ensure that the newly added lubricating oil is not contaminated.
Cooling system maintenance
Check the cooling system, including cooling fans and radiators. Ensure that the cooling fan works normally, without abnormal noise and vibration; The surface of the radiator is clean, without blockages, to ensure good heat dissipation effect.
Clean the radiator regularly, using compressed air or water to wash the method to remove dust and dirt on the surface of the radiator. However, when cleaning, pay attention to avoid water entering the electrical parts, so as not to cause short circuit and other faults.
Electrical system inspection
Check whether the electrical connection is firm, no loosening, oxidation and other phenomena. Loose electrical connections may result in poor contact, affect the normal operation of the device, and even cause electrical failures.
Check the operation of the motor, including the motor temperature, current and other parameters. If the motor temperature is too high or the current is abnormal, it may be caused by the motor failure or excessive load, and it is necessary to check the cause and handle it in time.
Check the function of the electrical control system to ensure that the control components such as pressure switches and temperature sensors work normally and can accurately control the operating state of the air compressor.
Periodic inspection
Regularly ask professionals to conduct a comprehensive test of the air compressor, including performance testing, vibration analysis, leak inspection, etc. Performance testing can understand the actual working efficiency and gas production capacity of the air compressor, vibration analysis can find potential mechanical failures, and leak inspection can timely find leakage points in the compressed air system to reduce energy waste.
According to the test results, formulate the corresponding maintenance plan and measures, timely repair or replace the faulty parts, to ensure the safe and stable operation of the air compressor.
Third, long-term maintenance
If the air compressor is out of service for a long time, the following maintenance measures should be taken:
Exhaust the compressed air inside the device to prevent moisture from condensing inside the device, leading to rust and corrosion.
Comprehensive cleaning and anti-corrosion treatment of the equipment, you can apply anti-rust agent on the surface of the equipment to protect the equipment from corrosion.
Start the equipment regularly for a period of time, so that the various components of the equipment are lubricated and active, and prevent the component adhesion and damage caused by long-term outage. It is recommended to start the device every 10 to 15 minutes (such as one month).
